Stotfold Junior FC Girls Extravaganza

350 players took part in the Stotfold Junior FC Girls Tournament held last Saturday between the age groups of U8's and U11's.

Last Saturday many teams competed in the annual Stotfold Junior FC Girls tournament.

In addition to the tournament saw Bedfordshire FA Fair Play Awards presented to 1 team per age group to promote, recognise and reward teams on their respect and fair play.

The players, parents and managers were all marked on how they behaved, rather than the amount of goals the players scored. To win at the Fair Play Festival Award means that the team may not be the best side out there, but are a joy to play with.

The event this year was co-hosted with Stotfold Junior FC who were tremendous in their planning and efforts before and on the day of the tournament/festival (with a change of venue a couple of days before the tournament)! The FA Charter Standard Development Club also kept the players going with a range of food and all day, with mums, dads and coaches from all the club’s teams helping out from early Saturday morning to Saturday evening.

The Fair Play Award Winners for 2017 were:

U8/U9 - Stotfold Junior DC Whites

U9

U10 - Kempston Rovers Girls

U10

U11 - Biggleswade Jaguars

U11
