Walking Football

#LovetheGame

It is by no coincidence that Walking Football has grown in popularity and that participation numbers are increasing within the county. The game was introduced and recommended for players 50 years and above to play the game on a level playing field.

Getting fit and healthy is the main benefit, but the social side of the game is what keeps people coming back time and time again. The sessions are focused on enjoyment, with an inevitable competitive edge to games. Give Walking Football a chance and you’ll be hooked. Whether you are rolling back the years, learning a new sport, trying to keep fit or simply want to get out during the week, Walking Football is your answer.

Rules vary slightly between different locations and sessions according to the participants. Two fundamental rules that distinguish Walking Football from the standard format are; no running and no slide tackles.
