Flitwick 3G

New Facility Developments

Additional 3G Pitches have been made available in the Kempston and Flitwick areas

Kempston Rovers are delighted to announce the reopening of the 11v11 AGP after undergoing a carpet replacement of the existing surface. An additional 5v5 AGP has also been constructed as part of the same project, which means the facility now provides all playing formats of the game (5v5, 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11) within a fully enclosed and safe environment. This project has come to fruition and made possible thanks to a range of partners and stakeholders including the Football Foundation, Bedfordshire FA, Harpur Trust and the Mayors Climate Change Fund.

Central Bedfordshire Council secured £884,000 of funding through a combination of a Football Foundation grant, a s106 contribution and investment from Flitwick Eagles and Flitwick Town Football Club to deliver a new state-of-the-art full-size (91m x 55m) 3G pitch at the Flitwick Community Football Centre. The site is owned by Central Bedfordshire Council and managed locally by the Flitwick Together charitable trust, in partnership between Flitwick Eagles Football Club and Flitwick Town Football Club.

The new 3G pitch will serve the growing network of football across Flitwick, Ampthill and the wider area whilst being able to offer winter training and all-season access in addition to excellent grass football pitches for both matches and training from the start of the 2023-2024 season.
