#GroundsWeek 2022

From Under the Arch at Wembley to Grassroots Pitches

Leading up to the #GroundsWeek initiative by the Grounds Management Association, local groundskeepers from all over the country were able to experience a unique insight and behind the scenes access to Wembley Stadium on the 16th February.

Karl Standley (Wembley Grounds Manager) provided a tour of the stadium to the local workforce that were put forward by their County FA’s in recognition of the selfless work and sacrifice they make to ensure the grass pitches are in the best condition possible. The evening involved a number of pitch side conversations ranging from machinery and equipment to specific maintenance throughout the year in addition to many topics and challenges that all grounds keepers can relate to across all levels of the game.

We are now preparing for a webinar next Thursday 10th March focusing on end of season renovations that will be delivered by Regional Pitch Advisor, Julien Morris. For more information on this event and GMA, please CLICK HERE
