On Friday 29th November, Bedfordshire FA and Bedfordshire Schools Partnership hosted the U11 Futsal Schools Boys County Final at the John Bunyan Sports Centre in Bedford. All areas of the county were represented by the 8 schools in attendance, throughout the matches there was some great performances and even better goals.
Fullbrook School and Robert Bloomfield School qualified to the final. The match was incredibly exciting with good changes at either end. The game finished on 0-0 after a goal was disallowed by the referee for handball.
The final then went to penalties where both teams were given 5 penalties each. With all players scoring the game then went to a sudden death penalty shootout. Robert Bloomfield missed the first penalty, Fullbrook took advantage and scored making them the County winners and will progress into the FA Regional Finals for Schools.
Well done to Fullbrook School, we also wish you the best of luck in the regional final. Hopefully you can represent the Bedfordshire FA and the Bedfordshire Schools sport partnership in the national final.
