What a Game!
The Bedfordshire County Football League representative team produced a fantastic performance to come back to win 6-4.
The Bedfordshire County Football League kicked-off their FA Inter League Cup campaign last Saturday with a tough 6-4 win against the Southern Amateur Football League.
A total of 32 representative leagues at Step-7 have entered the competition this season with 16 ties in the first round. The Inter League Cup takes place every 2 years, with the winners going on to represent England in the UEFA Regions Cup.
Manager Gary Chance commented:"Always an honour, but of course a big task to put together a league representative team to enter the FA Inter-League competition. The Bedfordshire Squad is made up of players who have all performed well over the seasons for their respective clubs. We have selected a squad of players who we feel will represent their clubs & the league with pride, in our tough forthcoming fixture against the Southern Amateur League from London who are previous finalists."
The BCFL has grown in stature and reputation in recent years, boasting some great models for local grassroots football. The standard of football continues to improve year on year, with more and more players joining the league.
