UEFA B Corner

Take the next step

If you are looking to take the next step in your coaching journey, find out more below:

Learners will be introduced to concepts of the England DNA and will need to consider and create their own coaching philosophy to align with their role and their coaching opportunity.

Practice design will be a consistent theme throughout the course with learners being challenged to consider the needs of their players from not only a Technical/Tactical point of view but also from a Physical, Social and Psychological perspective

Learners will be introduced the playing themes of the England DNA and will be supported in creating relevant practices that support their players within their units of the team.

Continuing the themes of the England DNA, learners will gain insights into how their players work in their respective units & combine with colleagues in neighbouring units of the team to achieve offensive and defensive success.

Learners will be challenged to consider their behaviours, actions and reactions in both coaching and playing situations when supporting the development of problem solving and decision making players.

As the learning continues on the course, learners will be offered opportunities to showcase their work, providing context and reasoning behind their experiences in their project.
The course will also look to build the learners understanding with regards to their team and the units within the team who operate in relation to moments and scenarios in the game.
While learners will be gaining understanding in the 11v11 game, they must look to consider this within any format of the game they are involved in so the evolving and emerging player of the future can be supported for the long term.
In the final block of the course learners will be given the opportunity to present their individual projects to their course tutors and their course colleagues.

The presentation will become a summary of their project, recognising why they did what they did with their planning, delivery and reflection of both training and game opportunities.

In addition learners will be given an insight into the future, looking at the modern trends of the game from the most recent Technical Reports from UEFA competitions and by considering the coach of the future and how they can look to evolve themselves in support of their players and the game.
