Manager Gary Chance commented:

"Always an honour, but of course a big task to put together a league representative team to enter the FA Inter-League competition. The Bedfordshire Squad is made up of players who have all performed well over the seasons for their respective clubs. We have selected a squad of players who we feel will represent their clubs & the league with pride, in our tough forthcoming fixture against the Southern Amateur League from London who are previous finalists."

The BCFL has grown in stature and reputation in recent years, boasting some great models for local grassroots football. The standard of football continues to improve year on year, with more and more players joining the league.

The selected group of players appear on paper to hold a lot of potential. Last year's champions Flitwick Town are represented as well of some of this seasons title challengers.

'One to Watch'

Jim Burnside
Shefford Town & Campton
Striker
Appearances: 6
Goals: 9

Jim transferred to Shefford this season and has wasted no time settling in to his new surroundings. As an out-and-out forward, Jim offers a real threat in front of goal, whilst his ability with the ball at his feet allows the midfield to join in support.
