Some may have been sitting around waiting for this news to break since the dramatic conclusion of the 2017 competition. Others will be unaware of how incredibly exciting the Workplace Cup can be and this year we have added a 3rd division to the popularity of the competition! 

So let’s explain shall we…

WHAT IS IT?
• A football cup competition for workplaces and businesses around Bedfordshire.
• An opportunity for your workplace to compete in an out-of-hours social activity.
• Another team to play for during the week.
• A chance to get back into football.
• A good laugh.
• Actually quite serious in the end!

THE FORMAT?
• 3 Groups: North (Kempston), Central (Ampthill) and South (Leighton Buzzard).
• Always at the same venue with a full sized 3G pitch.
• 4 teams in each group.
• £50 entry fee.
• 11 a-side football.
• 4 fixture nights from March to August.
• £40 per fixture night.
• All teams play each-other on fixture nights.
• Games are 20 minutes straight.
• Teams need only arrive, pay and then play.
• Winners of each group, will progress into a floodlit cup final.
• Champions are awarded a “proper” Champions League ‘replica’ trophy to parade in their staff room.

WHAT’S ALL THE FUSS ABOUT?
• In 2017, 10 teams competed for the illustrious cup.
• The football was always a surprisingly high standard.
• Games were competitive and exciting to watch.
• Photos and videos were uploaded to social media using #WorkplaceCup.
• The finale went down to the very last game.
• The champions won after beating the rival groups winners.
• Easy Copiers were crowned the second Workplace Cup champions.
• All profit goes into buying the best medals and trophies you’re ever likely to win.
• With such high demand expected, the return is bigger and better.

Dates: Wednesday 4th April / Wednesday 2nd May / Thursday 6th June / Wednesday 4th July 
Times: 19:00 to 22:00

NORTH DIVISION
Venue: Kempston Rovers FC, Hilllgrounds Road, Kempston, MK42 8SZ
Dates: Friday 6th April / Friday 11th May / Friday 27th July / Friday 10th August 
Times: 19:00 to 22:00

CENTRAL DIVISION
Venue: Redborne Upper School, Flitwick Road, Ampthill, MK45 2NU
Dates: Friday 06th April / Friday 11th May / Friday 15th June / Friday 20th July
Times: 19:00 to 22:00
