Sin Bins - 2018/19

Temporary Dismissals - How will this impact you?

In preparation for the roll out of Sin Bins to those Leagues, Clubs and Referees using the system for the 2018/19 season, a number of training sessions are being held locally to ensure everybody is educated on Temporary Dismissals before the start of the season. Leagues using Temporary Dismissals next season are as follows;

- Bedford & District Sunday League
- Chiltern Youth League
- Bedfordshire Saturday Youth League
- Chiltern Junior Sevens

NB – training for referees operating on any of the above leagues is mandatory. You may not receive any appointments without having attended the training.

Clubs and Referees impacted by the roll-out of Temporary Dismissals will be required to book onto one of the sessions listed below. Face to face training is recommended, however we are also offering online (WebEx) training. There will be a limited number of spaces for each face to face session.

The dates and venues are as follows:
- Thursday 26th July (WebEx – 11:00)
- Sunday 5th August (Bedfordshire FA – 10:30 & 14:00)
- Wednesday 8th August (WebEx – 19:00)
- Wednesday 15th August (Bedfordshire FA – 19:00)
- Monday 20th August (Flitwick Football Centre – 19:00)
- Friday 31st August (WebEx – 14:00)
- Monday 3rd September** (Bedfordshire FA – 19:00)
** Chiltern Youth League clubs only.

Tea and coffee will be provided for all face to face sessions.

Please email me at Mike.Desborough@BedfordshireFA.com confirming the date, venue, name and role (i.e. Referee, Club Secretary, Club Manager) of who will be attending. The training will be delivered by myself.

Whilst this does not affect all leagues at this stage, from season 2019-20 it will be a mandatory initiative for every league at grassroots level. Therefore all clubs and referees are welcome to attend the training, additional training will be provided this time next year. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact: Mike Desborough Referee Development Officer on 07803 623374.
