Coach Development Group Visit Luton Town FC Academy

The Bedfordshire FA Coach Development Group visited the home of Luton Town FC Academy to learn the philosophy of the club.

The Bedfordshire FA Coach Development Group visited ‘The Brache’ venue, Monday 26th March, home to Luton Town FC Academy and predominantly used daily by the full time team of staff and players.

Members were given a warm welcome by Jordan McCann (Head of Academy) who treated the coaches to a tour of the very impressive facilities. The hospitality provided along with the ability to watch a number of the age groups train was an outstanding learning opportunity for the group. The experience was further enhanced by the delivery of an insightful presentation regarding the Luton Town FC philosophy that linked what the coaches saw out on the 3G pitch to the principles of how the club aim to produce home-grown players.

Stuart Hadley, one of the CDG coaches said,

'I found it extremely interesting and it gave me a great insight into the excellent work and support the club give to young players.'

Jordan McCann commented,

'it was a pleasure to host the group and they are more than welcome next year.'

Academy staff were later spotted at Kenilworth Road to catch the second half of the Senior Challenge Cup Final where a number of youth products were on show coupled with a number of players who were looking to feature in the first team fixtures over the Easter period such as Pelly-Ruddock and Jake Jervis.

Beds FA would like to thank the club and academy staff for their continued support in embracing the Coach Development Group as it nears the conclusion of its second season.
