AFC Kempston Rovers
couldn't reproduce their FA Cup form as they went down 1-0 to Spartan South Midlands Premier side Hadley, AFC Dunstable swept aside Combined Counties Div 1 side Bedfont Sports 5-0, Ryan Quinn slotted home a first minute penalty and Bernie Christie & Richard Harker made it 3 before half time. Michael Kinloch and a second from Christie completed the scoring. Bedford eased passed the FA Vase's first ever winners, Hoddesdon Town, thanks to a Chris Boniface hat-trick while Dunstable Town required extra time to defeat fellow Spartan South Midlands Premier side Hanwell Town, Grant Carney gave Dunstable the lead early in the second before 2 Hanwell goals looked to have nicked the tie before Carney equalised 3 minutes from time. Confusion then rained as it appeared not everyone was aware of the Extra Time rule and when the extra 30 minutes finally got underway goals from Luke Lincoln & Dean Whittaker sent Dunstable through. Southill Alexander made their first appearance and made more history by being the first Bedfordshire County Football League side to enter the FA Vase, it wasn't to be the fairytale ending though as they went down 3-0 to Essex Senior League side Eton Manor. Langford face a replay after a 1-1 draw with Essex Olympian League side Mountnessing, a goal up just after the hour thanks to an OG couldn't hold it to the end and a last minute equaliser for the visitors meant another 30 minutes was required, the sides couldn't be seperated so they will replay on Thursday. Potton United suffered a 5-1 defeat to Hellenic League side Shrivenham, behind to a goal mid-way through the first half Potton's Graham Tibbals equalised shortly before half time before Shrivenham hit 4 without reply after the break. Crawley Green suffered anguish at the hands of Welwyn Garden City with a goal 5 minutes into added on time at the end of the game being the difference between the two sides.
