Goalpost Safety Grant

Are you Goalposts decayed and dangerous? Is the growth of your Club restricted by not having access to Goals at your facility?

The Football Foundation have been running for a number of years an Excellent Funding Programme to help affiliated clubs, local authorities, schools, local community groups.

Goals must be purchased directly from one of the eligible suppliers and only after a grant offer has been made. Grants are available to replace goals which fail to meet the British Standards safety requirements, the goals targeted for replacement include:

  • Pre-1996 i.e. before British Standards were produced
  • Metal cup hooks on posts and crossbars
  • Wooden
  • Freestanding
  • Mini-Soccer goals which are now incomplete
  • Corroded or rusted.

Grants cannot exceed 50% of the cost of the goals up to a grant ceiling of £3,000. There is no limit to the number of pairs of goals an applicant can apply for.
