The Skills Coaches plan and deliver sessions alongside the team managers giving them a better knowledge and understanding of coaching children. They can work with boys or girls teams from the U6's through to the U12's.
Skills Coaches are assigned areas within the county with which they can work in during term time. However, during school holidays we are able to work with any Charter standard club in Bedfordshire so if we can't work with you now, we should be able to at a later date.
During the school holidays we can offer Charter Standard Clubs a Free Tesco Skills Day. This is where the coach comes to your club ground and delivers one or more sessions including matches to any club player who would like to attend. We can also bring some skills 'goodies' for your players to take away with them.
Charter Standard Clubs can access a skills coach for 6 weeks a season, Development clubs are entitled to 8 weeks and Community clubs are provisioned with 10 weeks support. During the coaches time at the club, there will be a programme set in place with the coach to support areas in which the coach feels they would like support on by working towards set goals.
If you manage or coach a team and would like the skills coaches to come and help you and your teams development or if you would like to host a Tesco Skills Day at your club, please don't hesitate to get in touch. You can access the coaches contact details by clicking on the 'Who are we' tab to the left of this page or contact Bedfordshire Skills programme team leader stephen.maker@TheFA.com
