The FA Tesco Skills Coaches are specially trained to work with 5-11 year olds. We aim to help players become more comfortable with a ball and have the capability to make better decisions, more often.
Children will work on their Agility, Balance, Co-ordination and Speed, as well as developing their football skills, decision making and spatial awareness. Coaching activities will also help improve children's ability to work as part of a team, and solve problems whilst building confidence towards physical activity.
From September, we also have a new Disability Centre from 4-5pm and Girls Only Centre from 5-6pm running at Bedfordshire FAs new AGP facility.
We shall also be running a FUTSAL FOCUS Skills Centre for the first time at Vandyke Upper School, on Fridays. This Centre will run along the same lines as the other FA Tesco Skills Centres, but will be based in the sports hall and the participants will be encouraged to take on board the principles of FUTSAL. At £1 a week, The FA Tesco Skills Centres are open to all 5-11 year olds who wish to have fun and become better players. The Centres run at the following places:
Monday – Lealands High School, Luton –
4-6pm (all abilities)
Tuesday – Robert Bloomfield Middle School, Shefford – 4-6pm (all abilities and gifted centre for 9-11 year olds)
Wednesday – Sharnbrook Upper School, Sharnbrook – 5-7pm (all abilities)
Thursday – Bedfordshire FA AGP, Dunstable (DISABILITY 4-5pm and GIRLS ONLY 5-6pm)
Friday – Vandyke Upper School, Leighton Buzzard –
5-7pm (Futsal Focus Centre, open to all abilities)
