- Approach to an incident (danger, help, bystanders)
- Assessment of priorities (ABC)
- Checking responsiveness (shake and shout )
- Opening the airway (chin lift/head tilt )
- Checking breathing ( look/listen/feel )
- Checking the pulse (carotid)
- Recovery position (for breathing casualty)
- Breathing for the casualty (mouth to mouth)
- Chest Compressions
- Combined heart-lung resuscitation
- Control of bleeding (press and raise)
- Dressing of wounds
- Minimising shock
- Choking
- Heart attacks
